Chris Payne joined TPS in 2011 after serving as a consultant on Project Schoolhouse. Payne has more than 20 years of public relations and strategic communications experience. He most recently served as Vice President and General Manager of the Tulsa office of Saxum, an integrated communications firm with offices in Oklahoma City and Tulsa. Prior to joining Saxum, he served as senior manager of corporate communications for Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group, Inc.. He previously lived in Dallas working for public relations and political consulting agencies, leading a number of regional and national accounts.
Payne has served in leadership positions for Susan G. Komen for the Cure (the Tulsa affiliate), the Arts & Humanities Council of Tulsa, the Hardesty Visual Arts Center and the Tulsa Chapter of PRSA where he was named PR Professional of the Year In 2002. A graduate of Leadership Tulsa (Class 44), he has a master’s degree in mass communications from the University of Oklahoma, and a bachelor’s degree in biology from Emporia State University.
He lives in Tulsa with his wife, Susan. They have three daughters and four young grandchildren.

Andrew McKenzie is one of eight children. Janet, his wife of 33 years is a Pre Kindergarten, Kindergarten and Special Education teacher in the district. They have two children, Patrick and Emily. He has 3 sisters that have taught and worked for Tulsa Public Schools. He is a product of Tulsa Public Schools, Whittier Elementary, Cleveland Jr. High School and Will Rogers High School. He received his Early Childhood and Elementary Education BS from The University of Tulsa and his master’s in Public School Administration from Northeastern State University. He has served as a teacher and administrator with the district for 33 years. He started his teaching career at Emerson Elementary teaching 1st and 2nd grade for 13 years before moving to ESC as a teacher consultant working in schools across the district. He was a member of the instructional staff that started Mayo Demonstration School in 1992, a professional development training site for the district. His administrative duties include principal at Eugene Field Elementary, Marshall Elementary and Mayo Demonstration School. He has also been in the position of Elementary Director of School Improvement and a Lead Principal for Area 1 Schools.

Gary D. Rudick is a 30+ year veteran of law enforcement and retired from the Tulsa Police Department at the rank of Captain. He served as Chief of Police for the City of Durant where the Department was recognized for its innovative policing techniques by the International Association of Chiefs of Police, in particular in the area of civil rights. Chief Rudick serves as the First Vice-President for the Oklahoma Association of Chiefs of Police and will serve as President of that organization in 2009. He has both a Bachelors and a Masters degree conferred from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah. He is married to wife Donna, a teacher in the Broken Arrow school system and has three children.
