Tulsa Public Schools holds School Pride Race and Wellness Festival

On Saturday, March 4, more than 300 students, teachers, and community members will participate in the Tulsa Public Schools Pride Race and Wellness Festival. This is the 16th year of this family-friendly fundraising event to support the district's physical education programs.

Tulsans of all ages are invited to participate. Registration for the 5K Bike Ride, 5K Run, and One Mile Fun Run will be open until 8 a.m. on March 4. Registration fees at the event will be $25 for the 5K Run, and $20 each for the 5K Bike Ride and One Mile Fun Run.

All participants are encouraged to represent their school by wearing school colors, school t-shirts, or school athletic gear. The event opens with a 5K Bike Ride at 8 a.m. and closes with Zumba on the Green at 10 a.m.

The schedule for the Pride Race and Wellness Festival is as follows:

  • 7 a.m.: Registration opens
  • 8 a.m.: Wellness Festival opens
  • 8 a.m.: 5K Bike Ride
  • 8 a.m.: Mascot Dash
  • 8 a.m.: 5K Run
  • 8 a.m.: One Mile Fun Run
  • 9 a.m.: Awards
  • 10 a.m.: Zumba on the Green
  • 11 a.m.: Wellness Festival closes

Wellness Festival participants include: the American Diabetes Association, Bike Club Tulsa, Christie's Zumba Class, City of Tulsa Recycling, Dupree Sports Tulsa, Fresh Point, Game Time Sports,
Greenhouse Clothing, It Works, North Tulsa Counseling Services, OU Kids Fest, Sodexo, St. Francis Health Zone, Take Control Initiative, TTCU, Tulsa Athletics Soccer Club, Tulsa Health Department,
Tulsa Mental Health Association, the US Army /Meltdown, and the US Tennis Association.

The Tulsa Public Schools Pride Race is sponsored by City of Tulsa Recycling and Refuse, TTCU, Dupree Sports Tulsa, St. Francis Health Zone, Panera, Fresh Point, Sodexo, and Coca Cola.
