Parents of children entering grades 1-12 next Fall can now register their children for Tulsa Public Schools' 2017 summer school program, which will again be part of the Teach For America Summer Institute. Additional opportunities will be offered again this year – the YMCA Summer GO Program, Edgenuity (E/2020) and AEP Credits Count Summer Bridge Program.

YMCA Summer GO is an after school program for kids in summer school. They provide classes in Nutrition, STEM, Literacy and Movement. By providing summer school kids a safe place to learn and grow over the summer, the YMCA helps lessen the summer learning lost while encouraging students to still have fun!

Edgenuity (E/2020) will allow students grades 9-12 an additional credit recovery through a self-paced, online course. Students must already be enrolled in another summer school course and course work will be completed at the summer school site. Instruction for Edgenuity (E/2020) is through video lessons taught by highly qualified, certified teachers. However, a TPS teacher will be present in each computer-based classroom.

AEP Credits Count Summer Bridge Program provides an academic connection between the courses students have just completed in math and science and those that lie ahead. Three hours of STEM programming with hands on activities to enrich students in science and math will be offered in collaboration between instructors at TCC and TPS. This opportunity is for students grades 6-12 who are enrolled in the AM summer session.

Breakfast and lunch is provided. Free busing is available to all students (Edgenuity , YMCA, and Summer Bridge students who ride the bus to school must arrange own transportation home). Please refer to the student application for busing information.
