Memorial and Mason High School classes of 1975 - 40-year joint reunion

June 5-6, 2015

The largest class to ever graduate from the Tulsa Public Schools consisted of students born mostly in 1957, the peak of the baby boom. The Tulsa Public Schools had twice as many students as it does now. Mason High School was opened in 1973 in response to the massive surge in attendance and was closed 5 years later as the baby boom peak passed. In 1998 the Mason building was sold to Metro Christian Academy.

The students that made up the first graduating class at Mason started as sophomores at Memorial. Many of these students had gone through grades K through 10 together. Because of this, the 2 classes have decided to hold a joint reunion of anyone that was in that large sophomore class that started at Memorial and ended up graduating from Memorial or Mason. Some of those students also ended up graduating from other schools and they are welcome as well.

The 2-day reunion will be:

  • June 5, 2015 at the Guthrie Green and
  • June 6, 2015 at the Oklahoma Aquarium.
  • A lunch at Billy's on the Square is planned for June 6,
  • and a golf tournament is planned.
