Helen Griffin

Helen Griffin, Literacy

Helen Griffin is a native Tulsan and graduate of Tulsa Memorial and has been an educator since 1989. She graduated from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Master’s in Education, Reading Specialist. Helen spent her early career at TPS teaching Kinder through 4th grades. She then moved to Allen Bowden where she was the District’s Reading First and Reading Sufficiency Coordinator. She also provided educational coaching, professional development, and was the faculty advisor to the summer school program, Indian Ed., and Special Ed. Helen is very excited to be back at TPS and will be working in the Roger/Webster Feeder Pattern focusing on Elementary English/Language Arts.


Michelle Kingsley

Michelle Kingsley, Math

Michelle Kingsley comes to us with 24 years of classroom experience. She has worked for Tulsa Public Schools for 19 years and devoted 5 years to Tulsa Community College as a Student Support Specialist. She continues to teach there in the Child Development Department as an adjunct professor. Some of her professional and leadership activities include serving on leadership teams, active in STEM focus group for TPS and Naval Academy STEM, served on TCC & Community Care College Advisory Boards, Special Activities Chairperson, and has served as a Mentor Teacher. She has received training in several areas including Exxon Mobil Academy, Literacy First, Debbie Diller, Tribes, Ruby Payne, PLC Learning Tree, Greg Tang and Sensational Science. She has developed and facilitated several Professional Development workshops for the Curriculum & Instruction department at TPS as well as local, state and national conventions. During the 2014-2015 school year her classroom served as an effective model for workstations in math and literacy. She is an advocate for exceptional teaching practices and enjoys working with teachers.
