Lynn McKenney

Lynn McKenny, Literacy

Lynn McKenney has been an educator in Tulsa Public Schools for 35 years. Fourteen of those years, She has had the opportunity to provide professional development to teachers in the areas of classroom management, data analysis and teaching the urban child. Lynn's teaching experience spans from Pre-K to the adult learner. As a national trainer and consultant, Lynn is well versed in strategies to enhance school improvement and the development of school culture and climate. As a part of the Central High School feeder pattern, she believes our role as instructional coaches is to empower teachers to think strategically about student learning and performance.


Lauren Skvarla

Connie Settle, Math

Lauren Skvarla is in her first year as an instructional coach for TPS. She has eighteen years of experience teaching secondary English from 8th grade to AP Lang. For the last ten years, Lauren taught at Nathan Hale High School where she served as department chair and PLC facilitator. She received a Bachelor of Arts in sociology from Manhattanville College, a Master of Education in Administration from Northeastern State University, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Oklahoma State University in curriculum and social foundations.
