Rationale and Course Description
This course provides students with the skills needed to enter the job market and the flexibility to function in emerging technological occupations. Students develop personal qualities, interpersonal skills, and values demanded by employers. This course is designed to introduce students to the different roles of management, organizational structure, international business, and electronic commerce. The curriculum will include career-specific instruction for entrepreneurs and customer service representatives. Students will take an active role in the decision-making process in problems related to management, economics, finance, and communication.
How will students learn?
Student s will learn content material through reading, lecture, demonstration, classroom discussion, role play, quizzes, tests, computer lab activities and simulations, and group or team projects.
Content Outline
Students will learn about modern business environments for managers and entrepreneurs. Students will obtain the skills to enter the job market and the flexibility to function in emerging technological occupations. Knowledge of business office functions will also be addressed.
