

Supervise four certified and one classified staff members in the CareerTech Department at the Education Service Center.
Provide leadership and management to seventy-four CareerTech programs.
Develop yearly budgets and organize the district-wide CareerTech programs.
Collaborate with individual administrators and staff regarding the planning, staffing, organizing, and implementing of quality CareerTech programs.
Design challenging CareerTech programs utilizing the Career Clusters framework and utilizing the Tulsa Public Schools Model for School Improvement.
Approve all expenditures and operate all programs inside the approved budget.
Write Carl Perkins Grant, submit budget revisions, reports as required by ODCTE, approve expenditures, spending the entire grant, collecting data, supporting career guidance activities.
Funding new CareerTech programs through the Perkins grant, providing equipment and supplies to programs, professional development, supporting student organizations, and improving CareerTech programs
Provide leadership for Tech Ed/TechConnect programs, professional development activities at Professional Improvement meetings, remodeling labs, improving instruction/curriculum, promoting student leadership opportunities
Locate qualified teachers.
Represent TPS at state and national CareerTech meetings.
Coordinate the Tulsa TSA Conference, approve program assistance expenditures, provide transportation for students to conferences, upgrade equipment in labs, monitor and reinforce benchmarks and standards, serving on program advisory committees, maintaining a strong connection with industries and program evaluations)
Provide leadership and supervision for all CareerTech programs, assist with state reports, help with the supervision of applied tech programs, help with career guidance activities including Individual Career Plans, maintenance of department vans, coordinating the repairs in programs with the maintenance department, storage and disposal of surplus equipment, supporting the Tulsa Model of School Improvement, coordinate remodeling in programs, and other duties as assigned.
Provide leadership to Family 7 Consumer Science (FACS) teachers
Attend regional and state FACS meetings
Assist with state competency testing, professional development and marketing as needed
Oversee the Business, Marketing, and Information Technology CareerTech programs in the district including curriculum, purchases, technology, certification, and CareerTech requirements
Oversee the Competency Testing in all CareerTech programs (test over 2,000 students each year)
Oversee curriculum development for all CareerTech programs
Provide professional development for all CareerTech programs
Assist administrators in locating successful applicants for CareerTech positions as they become open
Assist all CareerTech teachers with technology in their labs (repairs, recommendations for purchases, etc)
Work with district employees to ensure proper management of CareerTech programs
Work with state department of CareerTech staff to ensure proper management of CareerTech programs
Assist teachers in preparing students to successfully transition from high school to post-secondary training, college, military, or career
Assist in the implementation of career guidance activities in middle schools and high schools
Assist CareerTech teachers with local, state, and national reports
Prepare local, state, and federal reports as assigned
Assist with the expansion and improvement of CareerTech programs in TPS
Coordinate activities for CareerTech student organizations
Provide professional development and curriculum planning for academic integration for all CareerTech programs.
Provide assistance to High Schools That Work schools in submitting reports, attending conferences, and complying with the requirements of the agreement between the Southern Regional Educational Board and the participating schools.
Prepare the CareerTech annual report.
Provide assistance to new teachers in planning and delivering quality instruction.
Assist in the implementation of career guidance activities in middle and high schools
Assist CareerTech student organizations by judging conference competitive events.

Placing over 800 RQ’s on walker and warehouse orders, checking in and receiving all equipment and materials for CareerTech and Applied programs
Regular office functions. Assisting with the five different student organizations with membership, travel for local, state and national conferences. Overseeing BCTI work study student’s applications, files and payroll. Out of district travel for CareerTech staff and teachers. Maintaining High Schools That Work (HSTW) Grant and Tech Prep Grant. Assist in the CareerTech Tulsa TSA Mini Conference held annually involving 30 schools and 500 students. Funding-$1,700,000.00-Carl Perkins Grant, State CareerTech Program Assistance Grant, HSTW Grant, Tech Prep Grant, and General Funds.
