FOREWORD
The 2004-2005
school year marked the fifth year of implementation of the Tulsa Public
Schools Accountability Plan. Although some minor revisions have been made
to the plan during the last five years, for the most part, the
Accountability Plan has remained consistent. It sets the standards for our
schools to strive toward. It places emphasis on academics, attendance,
highly qualified staffs, community and parent involvement, and continuous
improvement of student participation and achievement. The Accountability
Plan addresses the goals of the Tulsa Board of Education and measures the
success of each school in meeting those goals.
The
Accountability Plan Results includes a listing of the “Best Ever”
scores for each school from 2001 through 2005. We are pleased that all
schools have shown significant improvement during these years. We recognize
that schools, from faculties and staffs to parents and community volunteers,
are actively working toward School Improvement. We believe our efforts with
the district Accountability Plan help guide us and document our achievement.
As we begin a new
school year, we reflect on the progress made, and renew our commitment to
provide quality learning experiences for every student, every day, without
exception.
