Multiple Disabilities Fact Sheet

The Tulsa Public School  District currently has 16 Multiple Disabilities (MD) classrooms.  These classrooms are designed to serve our students with the most severe mental and/or physical disabilities.  These programs are staffed with one special education teacher and three paraprofessionals per 10 students.  This high teacher ratio allows us the ability to provide the best possible education to our students. Students in these classes receive a variety of services based on the Individual Education Plan (IEP) developed for each.  The types of services a student may receive based on the IEP team decision include the following: Inclusion full or partial, related services: OT, PT, and Speech.
