Patricia Cox,
M. Ed., is an Itinerant Vision, Orientation and Mobility Specialist for Tulsa Public
Schools. She began her teaching career by teaching
Kindergarten in 1989. Mrs. Cox later transitioned to
teaching Developmental First Grade. In 2000, she left the classroom to work as an Itinerant Vision
Consultant for many area public schools. She comes to Tulsa
with 10 years experience in the field of Visual Impairment.
Mrs. Cox holds an Oklahoma certification in Elementary
Education, Early Childhood and Teacher for the Visually
Impaired. In 2005 she completed her Masters in Orientation and
Mobility through the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. She is
certified O&M through the ACVREP.
Mrs. Cox is a
member of the Association for Education and Rehabilitation of
the Blind and Visually Impaired, and is the Division 7
coordinator for the National Association of Parents of Children
who are Visually Impaired.
