Cheryl Henry, M.Ed., is a program
coordinator for
special education services. Miss
Henry worked as a special education teacher and team leader when she
returned to Tulsa Public Schools in August, 1998. She had previously
taught in the district from 1985-1988. Miss Henry also worked for a
special education cooperative in Bartlesville, Oklahoma from
1983-1985.
Miss
Henry brings 10 years of administrative experience to the Department
of Special Education and Student Services. She served as director for
a school and children’s home in Mexico from 1988-1998. Miss Henry
learned to speak fluent Spanish during her time in Mexico and Central
America. She enjoys working with the Hispanic families in the
district.
Miss
Henry earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education from
Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma in 1983. Her Master
of Education in School Administration was earned at Northeastern State
University in 2004. She holds certification and endorsements in
Learning Disabilities, Mental Retardation, Autism, Other Health
Impairments, Elementary Principal, and Middle Level Principal through
the State of Oklahoma.
