Julie Lockhart,
M.A. (Rehabilitation of the blind), is an Itinerant
Vision Specialist and Orientation & Mobility Instructor for Tulsa
Public Schools.
Mrs. Lockhart has
had 15 years of experience in the education field with Tulsa Public
Schools. She came to TPS in 1994 after obtaining her teaching
certificate while working as support staff in the area of special
education.
Mrs. Lockhart
earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Langston
University at Tulsa in 1994. Her Visual impairment certification was
earned in 2002. Mrs. Lockhart received her Master of Arts from
University of Little Rock in 2008. She is a Certified Orientation &
Mobility Instructor from ACVREP and a member of AER. Mrs.
Lockhart’s certifications and endorsements include Elementary
Education 1-8, Blind/Visual Impairment, Language Arts, and Math.
Mrs. Lockhart has completed training in Literacy First, PDI Mentor
Training, Learning Styles Institute, Oregon Intervention System
Positive Behavior Supports, Inclusion and Classroom Modification.
