Melinda Moore, MA.
LPC, serves as the Tulsa Public Schools Positive Behavior Support
Services Coordinator. She first joined TPS in the fall of 2000 as the
21st Century Coordinator, in charge of after school
programs. Prior to 2000, she worked as a Day Treatment therapist
contracting services with TPS through Children’s Medical Center and
Family and Children’s Services for six years. She began her work as
the Positive Behavior Support Services Coordinator in March of 2005.
Ms. Moore earned her
Bachelors Degree from Gardner-Webb
University in Boiling Springs, North Carolina in 1990, with three of
those years of study from Oral Roberts University.
Her Bachelors degree is in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. She
taught elementary for three years after graduation but saw that unmet
emotional needs of children were a hindrance to classroom success.
Concern for those needs led her to pursue a Masters in Counseling from
Oral Roberts University in May of 1995.
