ORIGIN OF THE PROJECTS
The "No Child Left Behind" mandates
include an increased use of technology by students and teachers in the
instructional process. The State of Oklahoma has set forth in the PASS
document a set of Instructional Technology Standards. At the
teachers' requests, these projects were developed to provide opportunities
for teachers to address these technology standards while simultaneously
addressing Information Literacy standards and curriculum area(s) standards.
During the Summer of 2003, a group of teachers, library media specialists,
and resource teachers gathered to create such projects. Rather than
purchase vendor-created projects, TPS chose to have TPS teachers create
projects which directly aligned with Oklahoma PASS and the Tulsa Public
School District's Pacing Calendars. Since 2003, additional projects
have been developed and posted.
PURPOSE OF THE PROJECTS
The projects were developed to model best practices to
enhance learning by incorporating various instructional strategies and
multiple intelligences.
PROJECT NUMBERING SYSTEM

NEED TECHNICAL HELP OR TECHNOLOGY TRAINING?
The Library Media Specialist at each school site has been
informed of these projects and has attended an introductory training; therefore, collaboration with her/him will
greatly enhance the success of these projects.
If you would like further technology training, please check the
Professional
Development website
for a listing of classes offered at Fulton.
