Learn How Your State Matches Up With NCLB

The Education Commission of the States has created a website that provides policy makers, staff and the public with an up-to-date database for learning the status of how state policies match up withNCLB requirements. The site features a national grid, a state-by-state status, and state comparisons. ECS also provides additional web-based NCLB resources pertaining to consequences for schools, assessment and adequate yearly progress

Funschool Pre-K to Gr. 5  http://www.funschool.com  Original activities designed for younger students.  There's lots of familiar game formats here and great use of JAVA applets for interactive uses of technology.  Some activities are for upper elementary.

Mrs. Gaines' Kindergarten Links  Pre-K to Gr. 5 http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Aegean/2221/gainesgang.html  Includes interactive games for nonreaders.  The site is full of themed units categorized by the month with each unit giving websites to go with the theme.  Well done.  It's an all-in-one package.

SuccessLink Gr. K-12  http://www.successlink.org/   Great lessons on all curriculum areas.  Excellent site to find lessons on cross curriculum teaching.  Highly recommended site to visit.

E-Pals in All Areas:  The Classroom Exchange  http://www.epals.com  Your class as a whole can select an e-pal and communicate through the teacher's e-mail address.  It is recommended that teacher-to-teacher e-mail, with student's doing the typing but using the teacher's address.

Educators Reference Desk  http://www.eduref.org/  Lessons in all subject areas.  MANY, MANY interdisciplinary lessons.  Lessons are well-constructed and very specific according to timeframe and  grade levels.
