Student Safety Contract

Through hands-on activities, students study the relationships of the Sun-Earth-Moon and planetary systems, including asteroids, comets, and meteoroids. The unit is divided into 3 sections, and each section ends with a performance-based and written assessment. The culminating Anchor Activity (a research project), during which students gather information about a specific planet and any NASA explorations of it, integrates the concepts of the module and the U.S. space program.
Part of the Science and Technology Concepts for Middle Schools™ curriculum, this unit is aligned with the National Science Education Standards. One-Class Kit includes a Teacher's Guide, 16 Student Guides, and the consumable and nonconsumable materials needed for one class to complete the unit in 8 to 12 weeks.

At the first of every school year, each student should be given a copy of this contract.  It must be signed by student, parent or guardian and returned to you.  One copy per student covers all elementary kits.  Keep them on file for the duration of the school year.  You can open and print the contract here.
