Through hands-on
activities, students study the relationships of the Sun-Earth-Moon and planetary
systems, including asteroids, comets, and meteoroids. The unit is divided into 3
sections, and each section ends with a performance-based and written assessment.
The culminating Anchor Activity (a research project), during which students
gather information about a specific planet and any NASA explorations of it,
