Oklahoma NSF EPSCoR K-12 Science-related Field Trip Grants for 2007-2008Science-related field trip grants are currently available through Oklahoma NSF EPSCoR. K-12 public schools who meet the eligibility requirements may apply for transportation and/or entrance fees for field trips to visit EPSCoR's partnering museums: Field trips may be taken during the 2007-08 school year from August 15, 2007 through April 30, 2008. Schools must apply and receive grant funding prior to taking their field trips. No retroactive grants will be allowed. Students are required to attend at least one hands-on science lab or demonstration during an EPSCoR-sponsored field trip as a condition of an award. This project is designed to encourage K-12 students' interest in science by providing hands-on enrichment activities to compliment the science curricula provided in the regular classroom. Teachers are required to submit field trip reports 30 days after field trips are completed. To find out if your school qualifies or to download an application please visit Oklahoma EPSCOR. Schools may apply during the summer months with estimated enrollment numbers. For more information contact Ms. Shelley D. Wear, Special Programs Coordinator at 405.225.9287 or by email.
