During this hands-on unit,
students investigate the function, structure, behavior, and regulation of 5
human body systems: digestive, circulatory, respiratory, muscular, and skeletal.
Embedded, written, and performance-based assessments are included throughout.
The unit concludes with the Anchor Activity (a research project), in which
students do in-depth research on a disease or related health-care career.
