Students can shake, rattle, and roll (not to mention drip, squish, and stir) an assortment of objects and materials as they engage in science explorations clearly linked to their everyday lives. Use this hands-on unit to deepen students' understanding of the characteristics and behavior of solids and liquids. While comparing and sorting on the basis of a variety of properties, students also develop their critical-thinking skills.
  Part of the Science and Technology for Children® curriculum, this unit is aligned with the National Science Education Standards and offers complete hands-on instruction. Unit Kit comes with a Teacher's Guide and materials needed for a class of 30 students to complete the unit in about 8 weeks.

Student Safety Contract

At the first of every school year, each student should be given a copy of this contract.  It must be signed by student, parent or guardian and returned to you.  One copy per student covers all elementary kits.  Keep them on file for the duration of the school year.  You can open and print the contract here.
