Madison Students Say Goodbye to Their Classmate
The tragic death of 14-year-old Sydney Dailey, a student at Madison Middle School, had administrators there thinking of a proper way for her friends and classmates to say goodbye. Each student was given an index card and asked to write down what they would say to Sydney if they had a chance. The messages were attached to balloons, which were released during an outdoor assembly.
“This was a very touching moment and a great way for the students to express themselves and begin the process of saying goodbye and attempt to heal from this tragedy,” said Tanya L. Davis, a principal intern at Madison.
