Good Neighbor Citizenship Grant

McKinley Elementary School has been awarded a $1,000 grant to purchase materials to build two picnic tables and greenery for McKinley's courtyard and gardens. This project will enhance the courtyard's use as an outdoor classroom and for other learning activities. Teachers, students, members of the State Farm Youth Advisory Board and volunteers will help build the tables and beautify the courtyard. There will be a check presentation ceremony in the McKinley Courtyard at 9:30 a.m., Monday, July 6, 2009.
