Tulsa Council of PTAs

Welcome to the Tulsa Council of PTAs Information Portal
We are dedicated to Tulsa Public Schools children and to anyone who passionately strives to make our schools the best they can be.

TCPTA serves Tulsa Public Schools PTA/PTSAs and their 10,000+ members who, through advocacy, support the mission of PTA.

Why Join PTA?

PTA lends a collective voice to children where they need to be heard: at home and school; in urban, rural, and suburban communities; and in our nation's capital. PTA is committed to the safety, well-being, and education of all children. Even if you do not have the time to attend PTA meetings or volunteer to serve on a committee, your membership dues provide your school’s PTA with necessary funds and strength of many voices at the council, state and national levels. It is one small, but important, way that every parent can be involved.

Research has shown that academic achievement among students is higher in schools with active PTA’s than in schools without these associations. Schools are challenged to provide every child with the best education possible despite the limitations of tight budgets and government requirements. Schools are expected to do more with less. PTA helps bridge that gap.

Why should you join PTA? To be involved in your child’s education, know what is going on at school, get to know the administration and staff, have a say in what happens at your school, be a positive role model for your child, interact with other parents, help keep our students safe, enhance the academic environment at TPS, and gain a better understanding of our school system. Joining PTA also entitles you to membership in the Oklahoma and National PTAs.
