For the 2004 "Principal's Reading Challenge", Bell Elementary School Principal Mary Ann Patrick challenged all our students to read for a total of 440,000 minutes over a six week period.  The fifth grade class voted that if we reached our goal, Mrs. Patrick would have to spike her hair, dye it PINK, and sing a "Pink" song on stage!
