Welcome to
Bell Elementary School

Mrs. Jacquelyn Martin

I have been teaching at Bell Elementary School for seven years.  I graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond with a degree in Elementary Education.  I also have degrees in Journalism and Photography.  I have been involved in a math project for three years at Tulsa University.  I have won two grants from The Tulsa Foundation to help fund educational projects for my classroom.  Additionally, I am working on my National Board Certification.

I live north of Mannford and commute to school every day.  My husband's name is Doyle.  He is a retired Army Captain and a Vietnam Veteran.  We have three children.  Our daughter Nicole is married and works as a Teacher's Assistant at Emerson Elementary School.  She is also working on her degree in Early Childhood Education.  Our son Jason is studying Environmental Science, and our son Justin is a Pharmacy major.

I have a wolf named Trouble, a Miniature Dachshund named Holly, a cat named Prissy, and a cockatiel named Sunny.

I love to read, sew, and cook.  I like country music and "Old Time" Rock N' Roll.  My favorite artists are Alan Jackson, Sara Evans, Bob Seger, and The Rolling Stones.

The things I like best about Bell are the opportunities to give something back to the children who attend school here.  Mrs. Patrick is very open to listening to new ideas in teaching.  The people in our building are friendly and caring.  I work with a great team of teachers who are always willing to share ideas and help when needed.  The support of the staff at Bell Elementary School makes life easier and more enjoyable.

CONGRATULATIONS TO MRS. MARTIN!
