We will be having a Chinese Exchange teacher from China coming to Byrd starting in August 2008. We are looking for a family who would like to host a young woman, Yan Xuemei. Here she is with her husband and son.

If you are interested would you please contact the school office at 833-9520.This is a great opportunity to learn Chinese and share Chinese culture with your family.

Our other alternative is to look for a furnished apartment or furnished home that could accommodate 2-3 Chinese teachers (women) who could share the facility and pay the utilities.

Our guest teacher, Yan  Xuemei is being sponsored through the Hanban Program in China and through The College Board in the United States.

The Art Quilt - Treasures of China was recently displayed at the Oklahoma  Quilt Show Quilt Daze - Everyone was very impressed that our 7th and 8th graders created this quilt!
