Teen Read Week: October 15-21, Get Active @
Your Library Many libraries will be offering
special programs, and any teen who visits a TCCL library that
week can have all fines forgiven. For more information about Teen

Databases of
information of the World Wide Web that your students can use at home are
not available by following these simple instructions:
Go
to the Tulsa Public Schools Web Site at: www.tulsaschools.org
Click on "General
Info"
Click on "Library Resources"
Click on "Organized Investigator"
User Name: Investigator
Password: tpslibrary
Click on "Online Resources" in the appropriate section
(elementary, middle, etc.)
Everything except World Book
should work from home.
World Book should be available someday soon.
The Ebsco Database
This is provided by the Oklahoma Dept. of Regents and the Oklahoma
Dept. of Libraries. It contains magazine articles from thousands of
periodicals.
Most of these are full text and can be printed on your home
computer printers.
The Electric Library
This database provides many sources of information from books,
periodicals, newspaper, pictures, maps, and radio broadcasts.
The Wilson Biography
These databases are great sources when students need
information
on a person, alive or deceased.
The Gale Database
These databases provide information in the form of articles provided
from their books. It is a good source for multicultural, biography,
history, literature, science and technology topics.
