My name is Michael Kramer and I am really happy to be involved in this project. In the Technology Education class at our school, we base our curriculum on the State's Career Clusters Initiative's 16 Career Clusters. These job areas include all the different parts of the career world today. From agriculture to finance, from government to technology; these clusters provide a basis upon which the lessons are taught in our program to give a sense of the modern job world. The lessons are very diverse in Technology Education. We have delved into rocketry, aviation, real estate, architecture, agriculture, management (both of cities and skyscrapers), electronics, etc. Learning about all of these fields is beneficial to everyone in the class, because Tech. Ed. covers all of the careers we will one day begin. My personal experience in Technology Education is a very fun and educational one. I love the material, the environment is friendly and enjoyable, and I really feel like I belong. Building the tower was fun, as were the rockets and the electronic circuits. There are several computer simulations of businesses like hotels, apartments, cities, and farms. You can even build and sell houses! Tech. Ed. is the class I look most forward to every day. It has changed how I feel about jobs, school, and technology. With Technology Education, I wouldn’t be who I am today, I wouldn’t think how I think, and I wouldn’t know what I know.
