My name is Jonathan Bramsch and I am very good at challenges that involve creative thinking and programming. I find challenges like the Electronic Game Challenge, Cyberspace Pursuit, Problem Solving, and Graphic Design Challenge very interesting.
TSA stands for Technology Student Association. It is designed to help students train themselves to practice creative thinking, problem solving, and other skills that can help them pursue a rewarding career in a technological field. TSA helps you understand the required standards through fun competitions in a relaxed environment.
I have won first place in the Problem Solving Challenge at the Razorback Challenge with two of my friends, Will and Michael. Our requirements were to build a marshmallow launcher out of chosen materials. On that same day we did Graphic Design and Technology Bowl. We placed 1st with forty two and a half feet. The second place winner achieved 39 feet. Also we were three feet behind the Third place winner of the high school division. I am hoping that I can continue to be in TSA in high school with Mrs. Matheson, the TSA Director of Memorial High School.
I think TSA gets better when you get to high school because the events become more challenging and more complex. Although the events are very fun, there are specific requirements and standards you must meet in order to win competitions. We are graded according to TSA regulations and how well we fulfill the given requirements. Although there are many requirements, and it is hard work, we still have lots of fun.
