Dress Code
Letter for Students and Parents
Effective May 28, 2008
May 28, 2008
Dear Parent or Guardian:
I know you and your kids are anticipating a great summer! It is always nice to slow down the pace of life and enjoy some extra family time. Thank you for all you have done to make it a great year. We appreciate the hard work of the teachers and students and the support of the parents this year!
As you consider purchasing school clothing for the upcoming year, please take a moment to review the dress code expectations and purchase clothing that meets our new policy. We are sending you a copy of the dress code for the 2008-2009 school year. Please note that there are a few big changes that we think you will be pleased about: We have added Capri pants to the dress code, polo shirts can have logos on them, and we are going to allow the DickieŠ pants/shorts. (DickieŠ now makes a very nice uniform pant. However, these will have to be well-fitting as we do not allow sagging.)
Please note that the uniform style polo shirts that are allowed are the ones with only 3 buttons on the placket. We do not want the polos with the long thin placket with several buttons. Polos may not be layered.
Please discuss these changes/expectations with your student. Thank you in advance for your support and please feel free to contact us should you have questions.
Respectfully,
Garry Nichols, Principal
