2007 Young Adult Sequoyah Award Winner, author Priscilla Cummings, spoke to about 240 students in the Byrd library about her books and the writing process. Her Sequoyah Award winner, The Red Kayak, is about making the right moral choice, even when it is uncomfortable to do so. Twenty-four lucky students had their names selected to receive free books that Ms. Cummings autographed for them.
