Hello and thank you for joining the Carnegie Chess Club.
Below are a few quick facts about the Club:
- Official club meetings will be held on Friday afternoon, from 2:45-4:00 PM in the Carnegie cafeteria on below dates:
October 5th , 12th / November 9th , 16th / December 7th , 14th
January 25th / February 15th , 29th / March 7th , 28th
April 11th , 25th / May 2nd
- Club meetings are designed to provide fun and learning for it’s members.
First half of the meeting will typically begin with discussion, puzzle solving and instructions followed by a short break and the rest of the time spent playing Chess.
We will provide information and instruction for members who are NEW to chess or already familiar with chess and want to prepare for competitive play in tournaments. Please do NOT talk loudly, eat or drink during playing or do other activities which create disturbances to members. However, you may bring and eat a snack during the first 15 minutes. Remember, Chess is a game of concentration.
