Oxymorons

An oxymoron is a combination of words that contradict each other.

"Act Naturally" is an oxymoron.
If you are acting, you are not being natural.  If you are natural, you are not acting.

 Think:
Here are some other oxymorons.
Think about how the words contradict each other.
Discuss with your friends why these oxymorons are funny.
Draw a picture of an oxymoron or write an explanation of what a particular
oxymoron means. (Give it to Mrs. Edwards if you want it to be on this page.)
