Central High School - Fine and Performing Arts Magnet

Central High School Fine and Performing Arts Magnet offers thirty-two Fine Arts courses, including four Pre AP and AP Studio Art Classes, and twelve additional Pre AP and AP Core Curriculum courses. Our mission is to make the arts a tool for strengthening the character of each of our students. The school employs Artists-In-Residence from the community to enhance and enrich the educational experiences of our students. Many of our students attend Central on a Fine Arts transfer. Our school promotes competition in academics, the arts, and athletics because we believe in our students and ourselves. GO BRAVES!!!!!!

"Tomorrow's Future"  - Leadership Central Photo Gallery

This is the vision for Central's newly formed Leadership Academy.  Central High School is on the cutting edge in leadership programs.  Fifteen seniors were selected to take part in a year long program to develop student leaders.  These students will have the opportunity to meet with entrepreneurs, CEO's of corporations, state and city leaders, and college presidents.  They will tour several Oklahoma college campuses to weigh their collegiate options.  Students will meet and work with Jim Stovall, Olympic Champion and author, as well as Clifton Taulbert, Professor of Leadership Studies at Harvard University and Dartmouth University.

At the first meeting of Central's Leadership Academy, honored guests Gary Percefull, TPS School Board President, Jack Henderson, Area I City Councilor, Stuart Solomon, CEO of PSO, and Monroe Nichols from the Mayor's office shared words of wisdom.  Outstanding opportunities await these young leaders.
