Mission Statement:

 Freshman Leadership is committed to supporting student success in the first year of high school and to helping students develop those essential skills needed for continued success throughout life.  To accomplish this mission, Freshman Leadership will focus on developing personal identity, developing leadership skills and making smart behavior and lifestyle choices.

 Freshman Leadership Standards:

1.  Students will envision a future that is productive, stimulating, and achievable.

2.  Students will demonstrate an understanding that today’s choices and actions provide a framework for their future.

3.  Students will develop skills, aptitudes, and attitudes needed to successfully transition into high schools.

4.  Students will take responsibility for and have ownership of their personal, social and career decisions.

5.  Students will produce evidence to demonstrate their progress and direction.

6.  Students will challenge themselves to strive for high achievement.

7.  Students will practice communication and interpersonal skills.

8.  Students will use high-level analysis, synthesis, and evaluation skills to complete a comprehensive portfolio.
