Keeping our Students Safe!

On May 10-12, 2004, we had eight staff members attend the Community Emergency Response Team (C.E.R.T.) training.  These members were trained how to respond in case of an emergency situation by the Tulsa Fire Department.

Community Emergency Response Teams take action to help others until police/fire/medical professionals arrive.  Volunteers are mobilized to check their own neighborhoods or businesses to help assess damage and administer first aid to injured neighbors.

C.E.R.T. Training is a Free Course developed by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.  The training consists of 3 information sessions at TCC West Campus and a final training excercise at the Tulsa Fire Academy ~ 1760 New Block Park Drive.  It is held every Saturday morning in June from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
