Meet Mrs. Lagers

Dear Families,

Welcome to Kindergarten!  My name is Amy Lagers, and I will be your child’s teacher.  We will be working closely with the other kindergarten class and their teacher, Mrs. Fritz.  We are both looking forward to getting to know your child and your family. I would like to tell you more about myself.

This is my eleventh year of teaching.  I have taught Pre-K, Kindergarten, second and third grades.  I have my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Oklahoma State University and I am a National Board Certified Teacher.  I live in Sand Springs with my husband, Brad, and daughter, Emily, who is a second-grader at Chouteau.  We have two dogs:  a miniature Dachshund named Dakota who is 15 years old, and a chocolate Labrador Retriever named Sienna who we adopted through Lab Rescue.  My mother also works at Chouteau as a Para-Professional.  Her name is Ms. Sharon and she will often supervise the children during recess.  I am very involved in my church, Glenwood Full Gospel Church, which is one of Chouteau’s Partners in Education.

The most important thing I want you to know is that I value YOU as a partner in your child’s education.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions, concerns, or even great stories about your child.  Thank you for allowing me the honor of being your child’s teacher!  It is going to be a GREAT year!!!

                                                 Sincerely,

                                                  Amy Lagers
