Booktalk Number One

There have been a string of violent murders in town. The victims have all been women whose throats were slashed, but that doesn't concern Zoe, an attractive high school student. Zoe has other things to worry about like her mother who's in the hospital dying of cancer, a father who's never home when she needs him, and even her best friend, Lorraine, is moving to Oregon.  Life can't get any worse, can it? Then again, there's Simon, a man, who appears out of nowhere and seems to understand Zoe's problems and needs completely. Love has found Zoe at last, but will it be enough? For Simon leads Zoe down a dangerous path where death lurks on every side, and the future is uncertain. Find out what happens to Zoe in The Silver Kiss.

Zoe's life bites. Her mother is slowly dying of cancer, her dad in denial is a walking zombie, and her best friend, Lorraine is moving across the country to Oregon. Life couldn't get worse or could it? Then, she meets someone new, Simon. She feels strangely drawn to this silver-haired youth who seems to understand all her anger and fear about the impending death of her mother. For a time life seems a little better, but that was before the string of murders began.  There is a serial killer on the loose. All the victims are women who've had their throats slashed.
