“What is Eagle
Theatre Company (ETC)?”
The Eagle Theatre Company is a
group of individuals, chosen by audition, who are strongly involved in the
Edison theatre department. Company
members are expected to audition for every production and attend all school
productions. The company volunteers at
Theatre Tulsa and attends other local theatre productions. Company members both act and do technical
duties for our productions.
“Do I have to
be in the Company to audition for an Edison production?”
No. Any Edison student may audition for
productions.
“How do I know
about auditions?”
Auditions for every production
are posted on the door of room 151.
“When are the
auditions for Eagle Theatre Company?”
Auditions for the Company are
usually the second week of school. Look
for posters in the hallways or the Edison website for specific dates and times.
“What do the
acting auditions entail?”
Be prepared to perform two
monologues. The monologues should be one
comedy and one drama and last 2 minutes each.
There will be an interview that requires no preparation.
“What do the
tech auditions entail?”
There will be a Technical
workshop during the first two weeks of school.
Tech. students will submit a resume of technical work and complete some
technical tasks (taught in the workshop).
There will also be an interview portion of the technical audition.
“Does it matter
what I wear to auditions?”
It is traditional to wear
black, but is not necessary. It is
recommended that the performer appear neat and professional.
