Meet our Eliot Counselor  by Becky Flynn, School Counselor 

Hello,  I would like to take this opportunity to share a little about me as well as my job. 

I am a native Tulsan and have worked in Tulsa Public Schools for 35 years.  I taught 20 years...mostly 3^rd grade, but also taught first, second, and fourth…and have been a counselor for 15.  I started at Eliot last year after spending the previous 14 years as school counselor at Park Elementary. My teaching and reading specialist degrees are from the University of Tulsa, and my counseling hours were completed at NSU.   

My goal as school counselor is to work with children, parents, and teachers to make each school year a pleasant and successful experience for everyone. In addition to my weekly guidance lessons for Kindergarten – 2^nd grade, I visit with individual students, conduct small groups, consult with teachers and parents, and occasionally get to visit our 3^rd – 5^th grade classes.  I can also help with uniforms, supplies, outside counseling referrals, and Christmas gifts when needed.
