Mrs. Thornton's third grade met her challenge of reading 250 books in 2 months. They got to paste her with cream pies!

The next challenge - if they meet it, will have her singing Karaoke in her PJs during at our Monday Rise and Shine Assembly after Christmas Break.              


Book Bucks for Free

Every time your child takes an Accelerated Reader Quiz after reading a book, the get points if they pass the quiz. These points build up and at the book fair each point converts to 50 Cents (example:  If your child has 30 points that equals $15.) This is the 10th year that Emerson has given the kids Book Bucks with the Book Fair’s Profit. Your child can earn their own money for new books all on their own. We are the only school in Tulsa that does this program. Remember to support

reading at home. Remember to model reading behavior at home – ask you child if they have their AR book with them. You can read it together too!
