Beowulf has been made into a film to be released in December 2007!!! Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
Elizabeth Bennett, possibly the most complex heroine of English Literature, is living in provincial England at the turn of the 18th century. One of four sisters, all a part of their mother's grand plan to get each one married, Elizabeth chides formality and the rules of courtship of her time. When she meets Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy, she is taken aback by his snobbery and becomes disgusted at the very thought of him. As the novel unfolds, however, she realizes that her pride may be erring her judgment of him. As this is Mrs. Womack's favorite novel of all time, it is a captivating story with an intricate plot. If you love romance, this classic is a must read! There will always be a copy available in the library!!! Rating:
