 Robin Radcliffe - Music
This is the beginning of my 18th year as a
music teacher. My scope of working with students in music has ranged from
two year olds through high school chorus. The first seven years of my
career I taught in private schools, including maintaining a flute studio.
The last nine, I’ve taught in public schools. This will be my eighth year
to be in Tulsa Public Schools and my second year to be at Lanier. I came to
Lanier from Zarrow International School,
where I was site Teacher of the Year in 2002-03. I recently served for
three years as co-chair for Early Childhood Music for the Oklahoma Music
Educators Association; three years as a board member the Oklahoma Music
Educators Association; and as a representative from Oklahoma I’ve lobbied
in Washington DC for funding for music education in our public schools. I
am a founding board member of the Green Country Oklahoma Orff Chapter and am
in my 4th year as a board member, currently functioning as the
chapter historian. I enjoy playing the flute and singing, song writing and
arranging. I received my instrumental training at East Carolina University
and my vocal training at the University of Tulsa. I live in Broken Arrow
with my husband, Rodney and son, Seth (22 years old).
