The Madison Library Media Center’s mission is to provide a vibrant, supportive, and effective environment for teaching and learning within the school that ensures that all members of the learning community are effective users or ideas and information.

This mission will be achieved by addressing the following goals:

¨ Facilitate the acquisition and development of the information skills that form the basis of lifelong learning.

¨ Provide instruction to promote competence and stimulate interest in reading, viewing, and using information and ideas.

¨ Work with other educators to improve the integration of technology into the learning experience.

¨ Provide a welcoming atmosphere conducive to learning and exploring.

¨ Foster a love of reading for pleasure
