Dress Code

The following uniform items can be purchased at Tulsa area school uniform shops and some department stores.  Mayo believes close conformance to uniform color and style standards is important.  If you purchase uniform items from a source other than the uniform shops, please make every effort to ensure that the color and style of these items closely resembles those found at the local uniform shops.  Mayo colors and styles are on display in the main foyer at Mayo.

General Guidelines
1.Mayo patches are to be worn on all uniforms “over the heart.”  Patches are not necessary on jumpers or Peter Pan blouses.

2. “Mayo plaid” items must be purchased from C&J School Uniforms or K. Renee’s Uniform Closet.

3. “Shorts and skirts must be of modest length defined as a maximum of six inches above the knee of the wearer or not above the fingertip of the wearer with the arm fully extended, whichever is longer,” according to TPS Student Dress Code guidelines. Additionally, skirts, skorts and jumpers should be approximately knee length.

4. Shoes must lace-up, buckle, zip or Velcro and have a closed heel or a heel strap for sturdiness and safety.  No open-toe shoes or cowboy boots.

5. No visible logos or embellishments (i.e. rickrack, embroidery, beads, etc) on clothing.

6. Accessories, including shoes, belts, and hair ornaments, should be free from “cartoon character” designs.

7. All khaki items should be a true khaki color, as opposed to the lighter stone color.

8. Free dress days are at the discretion of the administration.

9. All clothing items must conform to TPS Student Dress Code guidelines.
