Aerobics
The students will achieve and maintain a health-enhancing level of physical fitness. They will maintain and improve health related fitness components, i.e., cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, and body composition. The students will participate in the planned activities and show respect for students of like and different skill levels.

Weather permitting, we will utilize Lafortune jogging trail and the swimming pool and weight room when available.
Grade Levels 9-12
Driver Education
Prerequisite: Ninth grade students must be 15 ˝ years of age by the first day of the semester. Tenth grade students or higher, must be at least 15 years of age, with first consideration given to students who will be 15 ˝years old or older two months after the semester starts. Students are required to have passing grades in the core subjects the semester prior to enrollment.
Driver Education is an elective course for secondary students. The primary goal of Driver Education is to improve the quality of human decisions and performance tasks related to the highway system in a manner that encourages continual improvement. Attaining this goal should enhance the probability that operators drive safely, expeditiously, conveniently and economically. When simulators are not available, the course consists of a minimum of 30 hours of theory and 6 hours behind the wheel. When simulators are available, the course consists of a minimum of 30 hoursof theory, 12 hours of simulator units, and 3 hours behind the wheel. The behind the wheel experience will be taught during the regular school day and after the school day if needed.
Health Education
A comprehensive health course will be taught, pertinent to today’s teenagers and young adults. Health, A Guide To Wellness, McGraw Hill, 1996 will be the main text used.

Students will be introduced to a variety of recreational outdoor activities and how these activities relate to lifelong health. The curriculum will consist of but is not limited to the following:

Camping Fishing Environment / Ecology
Water Safety First Aid Rappelling
Archery Scuba Orienteering
Fly Fishing Golf Wildlife Photography
Team Sports
