Elizabeth
Markley, B.S., has been the Art and Music teacher at
Park School for
5 years. She brought 8 years of previous teaching experience to
TPS, having served in the Choctaw and Crooked Oak School
Districts. Ms. Markley also previously taught at Carver Middle
School, and Penn Elementary, making this her 25th
year educating students in Oklahoma. Ms. Markley earned her
Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from
Oklahoma City
University and holds certification and endorsements in Art and
Vocal Music.
Ms. Markley lives in Tulsa with her husband, 2 children, and
three dogs “Penny”, “Addie”, and “Barkley”. In her free time,
she enjoys art, music and dancing.

Jennifer Moreno
Second Grade Teacher |

Jennifer
Moreno, B.S., is the second grade teacher at Park Elementary.
She has 9 years of experience at Park School, having previously
taught music, social studies and first grade. Mrs. Moreno
earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education at
the University of Oklahoma in 1994. She has endorsements in
Social Studies and Language Arts. Mrs. Moreno is certified to
serve as a member of the Oklahoma Citizen Emergency Response
Team (CERT).
Mrs. Moreno lives in Tulsa with her husband Carlos, their cat
“Lenore” and birds “Scooter” and “Zeeba”. She enjoys reading,
swimming, shopping, singing, and baking. Mrs. Moreno has many
family members who are also teachers. She and two of her
siblings even attended Park School during their elementary
school years!

Kristen Nichols
First Grade Teacher |

Kristin
Nichols, B.S., is the Language Arts/Social Studies First Grade
Teacher at Park School. This is Ms. Nichols’ second year to
serve as a first grade teacher at Park. She earned her Bachelor
of Science Degree in Education from Oklahoma State University in
2004. Ms. Nichols has certification and endorsements in
Elementary Education, Reading, Early Childhood Education and
Middle School Education.
Ms.
Nichols lives in Sand Springs, and enjoys reading, completing
puzzles, sewing, playing with her dog, and watching “The Gilmore
Girls.” She took ballet for 10 years and taught ballet for five
years before attending college.

Tammy Parsons
Fifth Grade Teacher |

Tammy Parsons,
B.S., serves Park Elementary School as a Fifth Grade Teacher. She has 12 years of
experience at Park School, previously teaching Kindergarten,
Title-I Reading, Pre-Kindergarten, and 2nd/3rd
grade reading. Mrs. Parsons earned her Bachelor of Science
Degree in Education from Northeastern State University in 1994.
She holds Oklahoma certification and endorsements in Special
Education and Early Childhood. Mrs. Parsons is certified to
serve as a member of the Oklahoma Citizen Emergency Response
Team (CERT).
Mrs. Parsons lives in Jenks with her husband and two teenage
sons. She enjoys watching her boys play baseball and basketball
and likes to spend time reading and shopping. They have two
dogs, a German Shepherd/Great Dane named “Lance”, and a
Malamute/Husky named “Nadia”. Her family loves to ride roller
coasters, and often plans their vacations to ride as many as
possible. Her husband Clint is a partner at Lewis and Parsons
Law Firm and is a generous “Partner in Education” at Park
School.

Michelle Robertson
School Librarian |

Michelle
Robertson, M.S., has served as the Librarian/Media Specialist at
Park School for three years. She previously taught Pre-K and 1st
Grade for five years at Roosevelt Elementary in TPS, and spent a
year as a Pre-K teacher in a
Tulsa private school.
Mrs. Robertson earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pre-Law
from
Oklahoma State University in 1991, a Bachelor of Science Degree
in Elementary Education from the University of Central Oklahoma
in 1997, and a Master of Science Degree in Library and
Information Services from Oklahoma University (Tulsa) in 2006.
She holds certification and endorsements in Elementary
Education, and School Library/Media Specialist.
Mrs. Robertson resides in
Tulsa
with her husband and dog. She enjoys reading, and “loves”
Mickey Mouse!

Jenny Shaw
Kindergarten Teacher |

Jenny Shaw,
B.S., is a Kindergarten Teacher at Park School. She joined the
educational team at Park in 2004, having previously taught
kindergarten for 3 years at Kendall-Whittier Elementary in
Tulsa. Mrs. Shaw earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in
Education from Northeastern State University in 1995. She holds
endorsements and certification in Early Childhood Education.
Mrs. Shaw lives in Jenks with her husband and two children. She
enjoys watching St.Louis Cardinal Baseball and playing golf.
When Mrs. Shaw was in high school, her basketball team played
against Mrs. Gripado’s high school basketball team. Neither can
recall which team won the game, however maybe we can arrange a
re-match sometime this year!

Bea Smith
Physical Education Teacher |

Bea Smith,
B.S., is the Physical Education Teacher at
Park
School.
Mrs. Smith has enjoyed a career in both elementary and secondary
educational settings, having previously taught at Cleveland
Middle School for 6 years. She has taught at Park school for 17
years, with a total of 22 years of professional teaching
experience. Mrs. Smith has taught all grade levels from 1st
to 8th grade, as well as providing special education
services at Tulsa Public Schools.
Mrs. Smith earned both a Bachelor of Science in Special
Education and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education in
1984 from Oral Roberts University. Mrs. Smith’s certifications
and endorsements include Elementary Education, Learning
Disabilities; Mental Retardation, and Language Arts for Middle
School. Mrs. Smith is certified to serve as a member of the
Oklahoma Citizen Emergency Response Team (CERT).
Mrs. Smith currently resides in Sand Springs with her husband
and 4 children. She enjoys cooking, reading, and gardening.
Mrs. Smith was born in the Cape Verde Islands off of the west
coast of Africa, and immigrated to the United States when she
was 3 ½ years old.

Pam Styers
Third Grade Teacher |

Pam Styers,
B.S., is a new third grade language arts/social studies teacher
at Park School. She previously served for 6 years as a
Teacher’s Assistant at Celia Clinton Elementary, and for 13
years as a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
grade teacher. Mrs. Styers earned her Bachelor of Science
Degree in Education from Langston University (UCAT) in 1993.
She holds Oklahoma certification in Elementary Education, with
endorsements in Music and Language Arts.
Mrs. Styers resides in
Tulsa with her husband of 31 years. They have two
daughters, a son and one grandchild. She is very active in her
church and plays piano in the “Praise Band” every Sunday. In
her spare time, Mrs. Styers also enjoys crafts, reading and
scrapbooking.
