Education Portals
- Helpful sites for students, parents, and
teachers.
Internet 4 Classrooms - Tons of helpful
links, tutorials, and information.
Emints - Missouri's Education Portal.
Material is organized by topic rather than
education standards. Excellent resources
for language arts, as they have several sections
devoted to individual books
National Library of Virtual Manipulatives -
For math demonstration and practice. Good
resource for users of Smart Boards and
Promethean Boards.
Shodor - A resource for teachers of math.
The learner activities sections has several
excellent online manipulatives. The "Whole
Number Cruncher" is great for function box
practice.
Illuminations - From the National Council of
Teachers of Mathematics. Online
activities, lesson plans, information. A
lot of good stuff.
Starfall
- If you want to reinforce teaching basic
reading skills, this is the place.
PBS Kids -
Some good resources with excellent graphics.
My favorite is Between the Lions.
BBC Learning - Strong site with lots of
variety in subject matter.
Funbrain
- The graphics are so-so, the games are basic
skill-and-drill, but nobody covers as many
skills and standards as they do.
Wonderville - Canada makes science fun.
3rd grade and up.
