The other panel represents a girl student holding the torch of knowledge in one hand, while the other rest on a globe. Behind each panel is a background of buildings, all symbolic of the many fields of human endeavor students start preparing for in the school. |

Donated by the Class of 1947, it is found in the west entrance of the Main Hall. Students and Faculty of Will Rogers are firm believers in rubbing “Will’s nose” for good luck. |

School Seal |

Donated by the Class of 1971, it is found in the west entrance of the Main Hall. The seal is symbolic of Will Rogers Dog Iron, which was used to brand cattle at his father’s ranch in Claremore. |

Senior Bench |

| The senior bench was a gift from the Class of 1943. Only seniors are allowed to sit there. It is located on the south side of Will Rogers High School and is built in the shape of a horseshoe. |

Will Rogers was opened to the public on September 11, 1939. With a student body of 1,501, a staff of forty-four teachers and three office personnel. |
| From 1949 to 1964 several additions to the original building were completed. Twenty temporary prefabs were added to the campus structures. The interior and exterior of WRHS were renovated during 1966 through 1969. The 1969 passage of one million dollar bond issue allowed for yet another addition of twenty-seven classrooms by the winter of 1972. A football field, track, and baseball complex were added in 1990. The start of the 1994-1995 school year marked the first year that all classrooms at WRHS were air-conditioned. | |

Dr. Raymond W. Knight Plaque |

Dr. Raymond W. Knight was Principal of Will Rogers High School from 1950 through 1969. The student body frequently gave him a standing ovation during assemblies. His dynamic leadership brought the school the honor of the prestigious Bellamy Award in 1957. |
