Named for Theodore Roosevelt, the 26th President. He was co-organizer or the first volunteer cavalry regiment known as the Rough Riders. As president, he was particularly active in foreign affairs. ROOSEVELT SCHOOL CREED I am a Roosevelt School Student. There is nothing I cannot do. I accept the challenge to become the best I can be. I refuse to allow others to predict what happens to me. I accept the responsibility for my behavior and its results. Today, I accept that my destiny is in my own hands. With the help of my family and teachers, I will work hard, use my time wisely, and practice self-control. This is my time. Roosevelt is my place. I will grow, develop character, and ultimately, I WILL LEARN! |
